Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Use ("Terms") set forth the conditions and procedures for using the website services provided by YEONSAN SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION (hereinafter the "Foundation"), and other necessary matters.

Article 2 (Effectiveness and amendments)

1. 1. These Terms take effect when posted or otherwise notified to users.
2. 2. The text of these Terms is posted within the service. If these Terms are amended, we will announce the changes through notices on our website.
3. 3. We may revise these Terms when we deem it necessary. Revised Terms take effect in the same manner as in paragraph 1.

Article 3 (Supplementary rules)

1. 1. These Terms apply together with any separate rules or terms of use governing the services we provide.
2. 2. Matters not specified in these Terms are governed by applicable laws and regulations.

Article 4 (Definitions)

Terms used in these Terms have the following meanings.

1. 1. "User" means an individual or corporate member who accesses the "website" and receives services provided by the "website" under these Terms.
2. 2. "Registration" means completing the service use agreement by agreeing to these Terms and submitting the application form we provide with the required information.
3. 3. "Member" means a user who has registered as a member by providing personal or corporate information on the "website," who may continuously receive information from the "website" and use the relevant services on an ongoing basis.
4. 4. "ID" means the combination of letters and numbers applied for by the member and approved by us for member identification and use of the services.
5. 5. "Password" means the combination of letters and numbers chosen by the user to verify that it matches the member ID and to protect the user's privacy in communications.
6. 6. "Withdrawal" means the act of a member terminating the use agreement.
7. 7. Terms not defined herein are as defined in separate terms or rules for individual services.

Article 5 (Membership and applications)

1. 1. Membership is established when the user agrees to these Terms and completes the registration procedures we require.
2. 2. When a new member joins, we provide a member ID free of charge. Applicants must apply using their real name.
3. 3. Membership is established by our acceptance of the application and the user's agreement to these Terms.
4. 4. After registration, applicants who meet the requirements will immediately see an on-screen confirmation of registration.

Article 6 (Restriction and loss of membership)

1. 1. We may restrict or suspend membership if any of the following applies.
   1. (a) The application used another person's identity.
   2. (b) The application contained false information on the application form or false supporting documents.
   3. (c) The application was made to harm public order or morals.
   4. (d) The user interfered with others' use of our services or misappropriated their information.
   5. (e) The user used our site to engage in conduct prohibited by law or these Terms.
   6. (f) Other cases where application requirements we prescribe are not met.

Article 7 (Provision and use of services)

1. 1. Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in principle, unless we have material business or technical reasons not to provide them.
2. 2. We may suspend service in any of the following cases.
   1. (a) Unavoidable system maintenance
   2. (b) Suspension of telecommunications service by a telecommunications business operator under the Telecommunications Business Act
   3. (c) Other circumstances that make it impossible to provide services
3. 3. The services we provide are as listed below. We may change the services specified below after notifying users of any changes to the service content.
   1. (a) Website (member terms of use)
   2. (b) All other services we develop in-house or provide through cooperation with other companies, etc.

Article 8 (Consent to use of member information)

1. 1. Our privacy policy applies to members' personal information.
2. 2. Member information is collected, used, managed, and protected as follows.
   1. (a) Collection: We collect information about you through information you provide when you join our services, information you provide for community activities, information you provide to participate in events, information you provide to receive advertisements or prizes, and the like.
   2. (b) Use: We do not disclose or distribute members' personal information collected in connection with providing our services to third parties without the member's consent. However, this does not apply where disclosure is required by law (e.g., the Framework Act on Telecommunications), where there is a legitimate investigative purpose, where the Korea Communications Standards Commission requests information, where another applicable law prescribes a procedure for a request, or where you have voluntarily disclosed your personal information to us.
   3. (c) Management: You may view, correct, or delete your personal information at any time in your member profile on the website for the purpose of protecting and managing your information.
   4. (d) Protection: Only you may view, correct, or delete your personal information, which is managed solely through your ID and password. Therefore, you must not disclose your ID and password to others. When you finish a session, you must log out and close your browser window (this is particularly important when using shared computers in internet cafés, libraries, or other public places).
   5. (e) Other: Please be aware that personal information you voluntarily provide in public spaces such as bulletin boards or email may be collected and used by others. Posting personal information in public areas may lead to unwanted situations. You are responsible for keeping your personal information confidential, and we assume no liability for consequences arising from disclosure of your personal information.
3. 3. By submitting an application to the Foundation under these Terms, you are deemed to consent to the Foundation's collection, use, and provision of member information entered on the application form under the same Terms.

Article 9 (Security of user information)

1. 1. From the moment registration procedures are completed, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the information you enter. You are solely responsible for all consequences arising from use of your member ID and password.
2. 2. You are solely responsible for managing your ID and password. If you discover that your ID or password has been used without authorization, you must notify us immediately. You bear all responsibility for failure to report.
3. 3. You must end each session properly when you finish using our services. We are not liable for any damage or loss arising from failure to end a session properly, such as allowing a third party to use your information.

Article 10 (Provision of information and advertisements)

1. 1. We may provide various types of information to members by posting it on the website or by other means.
2. 2. In connection with operating the services, we may post advertisements on the website, by email, etc.

Article 11 (Copyright in content you submit to the Foundation)

1. 1. You retain rights to the content of materials you post.
2. 2. We reserve the right to edit or move posted content without prior notice, and may delete content without prior notice in the following cases.
   1. (a) Content that violates these Terms of Use or that we deem commercial, illegal, obscene, or vulgar
   2. (b) Content that defames or slanders another member or third party
   3. (c) Content that violates public order or morals
   4. (d) Content we deem to be associated with criminal conduct
   5. (e) Content that infringes third-party copyrights or other rights
   6. (f) Content posted by a member who has withdrawn
   7. (g) Other content that violates applicable laws
3. 3. You alone bear civil and criminal liability if your posts infringe others' copyrights.

Article 12 (Obligations and responsibilities of the Foundation)

1. 1. The Foundation owns and operates the services.
2. 2. In connection with the services, we may not disclose, publicize, or distribute members' personal information obtained by us to others without the member's prior consent, or use it for commercial purposes unrelated to the services. Exceptions apply where required by law or for legitimate investigative purposes.

Article 13 (Member obligations)

1. 1. Members must comply with applicable laws, these Terms, usage guides and cautions, and other matters we notify, and must not engage in conduct that interferes with our operations.
2. 2. Members may not engage in any for-profit activity using the services without our prior consent.
3. 3. Members may not copy, reproduce, modify, translate, publish, broadcast, or otherwise use, or provide to others, information obtained through the services without our prior consent.
4. 4. Members must not engage in any of the following in connection with use of the services.
   1. (a) Unauthorized use of another member's ID
   2. (b) Conduct for criminal purposes or otherwise related to criminal activity
   3. (c) Conduct that offends good morals or otherwise harms social order
   4. (d) Defamatory or insulting conduct toward others
   5. (e) Infringement of others' intellectual property rights or other rights
   6. (f) Hacking or distribution of computer viruses
   7. (g) Sending advertising or similar messages against another's will
   8. (h) Altering information posted on our website
   9. (i) Any conduct that may or does interfere with stable operation of the services
   10. (j) Other conduct that violates applicable laws

Article 14 (Changes to member information)

1. 1. If your member information changes (address, email address, etc.), you must notify us and update the information on our website without delay.
2. 2. Members bear full responsibility for failure to notify or update changes. Such failure may be grounds for suspension or termination of services.

Article 15 (Deletion of posts or content)

We may delete posts or content that violate our rules or exceed the posting period we specify, without prior notice or consent.

Article 16 (Termination and restriction of use)

1. 1. To terminate the use agreement, the member must request termination through the service or by email at least one day before the desired termination date (or, if that day is a public holiday, by the second day before the holiday begins).
2. 2. If a member violates these Terms and fails to remedy the violation within the period we specify, we may terminate the service agreement.
3. 3. We may restrict or suspend use without prior consent for members who violate the agreement.
4. 4. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for use inconsistent with the agreement or conduct that violates the law.

Article 17 (Damages)

We are not liable for any damage arising in connection with free services, except where such damage is due to our gross negligence.

Article 18 (Disclaimer)

1. 1. We are not liable for interruption of services due to force majeure events such as natural disasters or equivalent circumstances.
2. 2. We are not liable for service disruptions attributable to users.
3. 3. We are not liable for damage arising from information or the like obtained by users through the services.
4. 4. We are not liable for the reliability or accuracy of information provided through our service network.
5. 5. We are not liable for the content of materials members post or transmit.

Supplementary provision 1

These Terms take effect on 2026-05-01.

YEONSAN SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION (hereinafter the "Foundation") informs organizations, companies, and individuals of the following matters regarding the collection, use, and other processing of personal information, as required by applicable law.

Personal information we collect

To process orders and requests smoothly, ship goods, collect payments, and provide helpful personalized information when you register as a member or use our services, we collect and use the minimum personal information necessary.

Items collected: name, date of birth, gender, login ID, password, home phone number, home address, mobile phone number, email, cookies, payment records, access logs, IP address at sign-in

Purposes of collection and use

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes.

Performance of contracts for service provision and related billing
Providing content, purchase and payment, shipping or sending invoices and notices, identity verification for financial transactions and financial services

Member administration
Verifying identity, identifying individuals, preventing fraudulent or unauthorized use by members, confirming intent to join, age verification, handling complaints and inquiries, delivering notices

Marketing and advertising
Sending promotional information such as events, measuring visit frequency, and statistical analysis of how members use the services

Information you provide is not used beyond what is necessary for the above purposes. If the scope, purpose, or use of the information we collect changes, we will obtain separate consent or take other steps required by law.

Retention and use period

In principle, we destroy personal information without undue delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. However, if we must retain information under applicable law, we may keep member information for the periods specified below.

Destruction procedure and methods

In principle, after the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been fulfilled, we destroy the information without undue delay. Procedures and methods are as follows.

Destruction procedure
Information you entered for membership registration, etc., is transferred to a separate database after the purpose is achieved (or stored in a separate filing cabinet if in paper form), kept for a certain period under our internal policy and other applicable laws (see retention and use period), and then destroyed.
Personal information moved to a separate database is not used for any purpose other than retention as required by law.

Destruction methods
Personal information stored in electronic file form is deleted using technical methods that make the records unrecoverable.

Name, gender, date of birth, mobile number, email address, and information collected through use of our services.

Until 5 days after you request membership withdrawal, or until you withdraw consent to receive marketing communications, as applicable.
